There is a reason the Natalee Holloway case hit so close to home for me. Natalee lived in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Mountain Brook is one of the more affluent suburbs of Birmingham. I spent my elementary school years in Homewood and my middle and high school years in Vestavia Hills, both of which directly border Mountain Brook.

By they way, Courtney Cox went to Mountain Brook High School as well.
